We have exciting opportunities for overhead line Supervisors to join our team.

The role:

Our Supervisors are in control of the day-to-day site management of our engineering teams that repair and maintain wood pole overhead lines up to 33kV.  You will be involved in the upgrade of existing OHL’s to comply with ESQC regulations, the replacement of decayed wood poles and overhead line route diversions.   The opportunity to gain experience on our multitude of diverse projects will allow you to grow professionally.

The responsibilities:

  • Ensure all work is undertaken safely and in accordance with Company policies and procedures and client specific instructions.
  • To safely deliver activities to timescale and plan.
  • Ensure site setup complies with current legislation i.e. CDM, NRSWA etc.
  • Capture and report all project variations to the Project Manager on a daily basis.
  • Carry out safety and team briefings such as Toolbox Talks.
  • Lead, motivate and communicate effectively with the workforce.
  • Partake in site meetings with Company representatives, clients and third parties.
  • Inform line management of any safety concerns, near misses, unsafe acts or conditions.
  • People who can interact with members of the public in a polite and courteous manner.

Who we are looking for:

  • People with current DNO Authorisation
  • Suitable experience working as a Supervisor in the overhead line electricity industry.
  • IOSH Supervising Safely qualification or equivalent.
  • Candidates who can demonstrate working knowledge and experience in managing CDM sites.
  • People who can demonstrate the ability to achieve targets and objectives.
  • People who are willing to participate in on-going development and training.
  • Supervisors who can demonstrate a working understanding of health safety and environmental legislation and best practice operational procedures.
  • A Team Player
  • People with a full driving licence.
  • NRSWA Operative/Supervisor
